This giant glass Hawaiian wave began life as a hand drawn illustration by the artist Jay Curtis. It was custom built right here in Carlsbad, California from Jay's original design for installation at a resort hotel in the Hawaiian islands.

I made this solid 1-1/2” thick glass surfboard for a niche space in a California beach home. The board is 20 inches wide at the waist and 7’ 8” long. It is a big wave gun shape, typically used in the bigger waves at places like the north shore of Hawaii and Mavericks in northern California.

I was asked to create two cast glass wave end caps for the rear deck of a Southern California beach house to obscure the homes next door and improve the privacy of the owner's property, all without compromising the amazing ocean views or reducing the amount of light coming through.
