An Aquarium on the Oregon Coast Commissioned Me to Create this Glass Salmon Mural/Donor Wall
This has to be one of my favorite works of aquatic art that I have ever been commissioned to produce.
A school of salmon (192 to be exact) sweep across the surface of two large walls, depicted in in glass against a stylized hardwood backdrop. Donors to the aquarium have their names etched and pigmented into the fish, creating a striking and lasting tribute to their generosity and good will.
The project inlcuded providing the walnut paneling, creating and producing all of the graphics including the glass fish, and finally installation of all the components.
The finished size is 8 feet by 44 feet and spans two walls at the aquarium's entrance.
